Non-destructive testing device using induced alternating current potential: T05-236
Introduction of Tohoku University Technology (T05-236): Measuring crack shapes by inducing current non-contactly and measuring the potential difference.
In recent years, the "remote induction potential difference method," which utilizes the electromagnetic induction phenomenon to induce current in the inspection target at a distance from the test piece, has gained attention, as opposed to the concentrated induction type alternating current potential difference method that induces current in close proximity to the test piece. In this invention, the method was applied to thick back surface cracks and cracks on the inner surface of pipes, and its effectiveness was confirmed.
